ABOUT REMADE WITH MONEY

Motherhood changed how I saw money and myself.

I created Remade with Money to help new moms find clarity, make room for their own needs, and take the next financial step without the pressure to fix everything at once.

Hi, I’m Des.

I needed something steady to come back to.

When I became a mom, I felt lost in who I was outside of motherhood. Making sense of our finances gave me something steady to come back to.

I created Remade with Money to help women understand their money, make room for their own needs, and plan for the people they love.

Motherhood did not make me care less about our financial future. It changed what that future needed to make room for.

“Making sense of our finances helped me begin to see myself again.”
WHY REMADE WITH MONEY EXISTS
To help women understand what changed, decide what matters now, and make room for themselves in the plan.
WHAT I HOPE IT MAKES POSSIBLE

A financial life that supports motherhood without erasing the mother.

Women should be able to care for the people they love while still making room for their own security, goals, choices, and future.

Start with what changed.

Clarity begins by seeing what is different now.

Choose one next step.

You do not need to address every question at once.

Keep the mother in the plan.

Your needs, identity, goals, and future still matter.

THE FOUNDATION BEHIND THE WORK

Grounded in finance. Shaped by real life.

Professional knowledge matters. So does understanding what financial change actually feels like inside a family.

I studied finance and applied analytics, and I work in property and casualty insurance underwriting.

Remade with Money brings that professional foundation together with the lived experience of rebuilding our family’s financial plan after a baby.

Along the way, our family paid off $50k in debt, saved six months of income as a family cushion, and created six additional months with one parent at home after maternity benefits ended.

From one mom to another

You are not behind.

You may be carrying more questions than you have time or energy to answer right now. Start small. Decide what matters today. Return to the rest when you have more room.

You deserve a place in your family’s financial plan, too.
